10 days to RAID Uppsala

It's been a great week so far and it's still not quite the middle of the week. We've trained together the past 3 days with a CORE session early Monday morning at Form, a great (v. sweaty...where did that 15C come from?) Uppsala run with some hills on Tuesday lunchtime and a spinning session early this morning again at Form.

To set Jon's mind at rest, we finally have the details of the RAID Uppsala competition on the 20th so I'm so pleased he can now sleep more soundly without nightmares for the next 10 days :) We need to do some more planning of what gear to take (keeping a close eye on the weather forecast) and how to better approach the transitions where we lost a lot of time in Åre.
Really looking forward to it now and getting cracking on another long competition. Organisers predict a winning time of around 5 1/2 hrs.
8 sections with 3 diciplines; Kayak 12,5km, Running/Orientering 22,5km, Mountain BIke Orientering 23,5km. Those are the minimum distances so hopefully we manage well with the new dicipine of 'map reading' and not get lost on the course.
