Muskel X-press - Hanna

Some days you find that time is not on your side. There are only so many waking hours, and there's shopping to be done, kids to be fed, dogs to be walked and friends to visit. On these days, it's easy to say to yourself: "I just don't have time to exercise." This is where Xpress training comes in.

Today's was one of those days for me. I'd originally intended to go to Carin's CrossFit bonus class, but that was at noon and family commitments made that hard to fit in. So I opted instead for Hanna's Muskel X-press and I'm glad I did. This was a strength-training class, "spiced with cardio" (as Hanna put it), In 40 minutes, we hit all the major muscle groups: legs, butts, chest, biceps, triceps, stomach and obliques, including some cardio exercises like jumping and ski lunges.  I spent most of the class in a "moderate" to "hard" heart rate zone which are the most effective for burning fat and increasing aerobic capacity.

Hanna led the class but did most of the exercises as well, so she sets a great example. Me and the 7 women who made up the 8 participants had no excuse to give up as Hanna was truly leading by example. She doesn't skimp on the weights either! 

If you're looking for an effective all-around workout with minimum time commitment, this class is a winner. And if you want to make it more challenging, Hanna runs a Step X-press class directly before.
